Technology At Fine Food Queensland
Posted April 5, 2016
The importance of technology to the foodservice, hospitality and retail industries cannot be underestimated. From social media and online reviews to advancements in point of sale and ordering systems and inventory control, it seems that every facet of business is increasingly touched by technology and those who don’t keep up, ultimately fall behind. Seamless integration of technology across business functions is a key topic at this year’s Fine Food Queensland, evident on both the show floor and via expert speaker sessions.
One of the most interesting and anticipated aspects of the event is the showcase of new products across the show floor, and new tech products always get people excited. One of those technologies is DC TAG – wearable tech that has been designed to be waterproof, wearable and embedded with PayWave technology, so you can literally tap and go at any location that Visa PayWave is found.
On the other side of business operations, Impos Point Of Sale will be featuring systems that can assist in improving functions at the coalface. Impos will be showcasing a POS system that is used by 23 of the top 100 restaurants in Australia, plus a recently launched cloud based system that is capable of holding data to create big value by interacting with the right third parties – and all of that translates to better business.
